Gaza Gazette

Corrections

We get things wrong, and we correct them in the open. A corrected report keeps its URL and carries a note of what changed and when.

What we correct

  • A wrong figure
  • An inaccurate name or description
  • A statement attributed to the wrong speaker
  • Missing context that changes how an event reads
  • A wrong link or source

How a correction appears

The text is amended and a line is added at the foot of the report setting out what it said, what it now says, and the date of the change. The report is not deleted and its URL does not change — a silent deletion is not a correction.

Telling us

Send the headline, where the error is, and what you believe is correct. We read every report and correct anything that stands up.
