Civil Defence recovers 12 bodies from rubble in Zeitoun
The remains were pulled from beneath a destroyed home south of Gaza City.
Gaza's Civil Defence said its teams recovered the remains of 12 people on Saturday from beneath the rubble of a home destroyed by Israeli forces in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, south of Gaza City.
Recovery work of this kind requires heavy equipment, and the shortage of it means bodies are often reached weeks after a building comes down rather than days.
The service did not give an estimate of how many people remain unaccounted for beneath the rubble of the same neighbourhood.
