Erdogan Condemns Israel and UN Failure at General Assembly

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a blistering speech at the United Nations General Assembly. He condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank during his address to world leaders.

The Israeli delegation walked out of the hall as Erdogan spoke. Palestinian representatives remained and applauded his strong remarks regarding the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in the region.

Erdogan described Gaza as the most inhumane concentration camp of our time. He accused Israel of maintaining a genocidal mindset that cannot get enough of killing civilians in the besieged enclave.

He noted that more than one thousand three hundred civilians were murdered in Gaza. This occurred despite a ceasefire framework that Turkey helped establish with support from US President Donald Trump.

Hamas and other groups accepted the second phase of the October agreement. However, Erdogan stated that Israel has not ended its actions while illegal settlers occupy parts of the West Bank.

The Turkish president slammed the United Nations for failing its obligations. He argued that the organization was formed eighty-one years ago to preserve peace but has become dysfunctional in conflict zones.

Erdogan highlighted the absence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas from the meeting. The US denied Abbas a visa for the second time in two years, preventing his physical presence at the assembly.

He also addressed the war between Russia and Ukraine. Erdogan expressed hope that the conflict would end soon while keeping Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty fully intact during the process.
