Gaza media office logs 5,147 truce violations and 1,421 deaths
Only 72,826 of the 210,600 aid and reconstruction trucks due under the agreement were let in, the office said, warning of a dangerous winter for the displaced.

Israel has breached the Gaza ceasefire 5,147 times since it took effect on October 10, 2025, the Government Media Office in Gaza said on Tuesday, adding that 1,421 Palestinians have been killed and 4,983 wounded during the truce. The office said Israeli forces had also abducted 198 Palestinians over the same period.
The office rejected as “misleading” Israeli claims that enough supplies had reached the Strip. By its count, only 72,826 of the 210,600 trucks carrying relief goods and reconstruction materials that the agreement required have been allowed in, about 35 percent of the agreed number. The deal set a pace of 600 trucks a day, but only a fraction of that entered, and many of the trucks carried commercial goods rather than aid, according to reports.
Movement in and out of the Strip has been similarly curtailed. Just 13,785 of the 35,000 people expected to travel had been able to leave or enter, a compliance rate the office put at no more than 39 percent. The tally updates figures the office has issued throughout the truce; in late August it put arrivals at about a third of the trucks due.
With winter approaching, the office warned that “humanitarian and relief conditions in the Gaza Strip had become dangerous and catastrophic, exposing hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians to deadly consequences.”
UN figures point to the size of the shelter gap. The UN Satellite Centre, UNOSAT, has counted more than 201,000 damaged buildings, or 82 percent of all structures in the Strip, and the UN estimates that 1.98 million of Gaza’s roughly 2.1 million people need help with shelter.
Water and food supplies are also stretched. The UN says 91 percent of assessed households face moderate to severe water insecurity, and the Food and Agriculture Organization reported on August 18 that just 3 percent of Gaza’s farmland was still both accessible and undamaged. Since October 2023, more than 74,000 people have been killed and over 175,000 wounded in Gaza, according to official Palestinian figures.
