The continued targeting and killing of Palestinian police officers in Gaza points to a deliberate effort to undermine civil order in the territory, according to Ismail al-Thawabta, director-general of Gaza's Government Media Office.
Police in the Strip carry out routine civilian functions including traffic control and the securing of aid distribution points.
No Israeli statement was issued in response to the accusation.
