Gaza hospitals are close to running out of oxygen, ministry warns

The Palestinian Health Ministry warned on Saturday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are close to running short of oxygen, and said the plants still standing have no operating capacity left to give.
The ministry said the plants still running are operating beyond their maximum capacity, with repeated technical faults compounding the strain.
Medical oxygen has no substitute in intensive care, operating theatres and neonatal units. When it runs out, those departments do not slow down — they stop.
No timetable was announced for repairing the plants that have gone offline.
