Israeli Strike Kills Gaza Family of Four Amid Ceasefire Violations

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian couple and their two children on Thursday by bombing their home in the Beit Lahia Project area. This deadly strike occurred in the northern Gaza Strip amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that has left civilians exposed to ongoing danger across the coastal enclave.

The victims were identified as Moamen Abdul Rahman Ahmad, his wife Haneen Mousa Fares Saleh, and their two daughters Lana and Bana. The girls were twelve and eight years old respectively when the strike hit the Ahmad family home and extensively damaged the building structure in the northern region.

Local sources reported that rescue teams recovered the four bodies from the destroyed home and transferred them to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Several other Palestinians were injured in the attack while an unspecified number of people remained missing beneath the rubble of the collapsed residential building.

Israeli military vehicles and drones opened heavy fire on shelters housing displaced families in Jabalia refugee camp. Artillery shelling struck areas east of the camp while low-flying helicopters opened fire near Al-Khulafa Mosque Square. Tanks also targeted eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City with heavy gunfire and shelling.

In southern Gaza, a critically injured Palestinian was taken to Nasser Medical Complex after a drone strike on Al-Tina Street. Israeli warships opened heavy fire off the coast of Khan Younis while military vehicles fired toward areas east of Hamad City. Illumination flares were fired east of Bureij refugee camp.

Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that the death toll has risen to 73,669 since October 7, 2023. The number of injured Palestinians has reached 174,652 while many victims remain trapped beneath rubble. Large numbers of displaced Palestinians continue living in tents near confrontation lines despite the continuing Israeli military violations.
