Palestinian Killed After Stabbing Incident Near Nablus
Israeli forces killed a suspect following an attack that wounded a colonizer, escalating violence in the northern occupied West Bank.
Israeli soldiers fatally shot a Palestinian man near Osarin on Monday. This followed an alleged stabbing incident that seriously wounded an Israeli colonizer at a farm southeast of Nablus earlier that day.
The injured colonizer received medical treatment at the scene before transfer to a hospital. Israeli military sources stated the assailant fled after the attack. Forces deployed troops throughout the southeastern Nablus region to search for the suspect.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported receiving alerts about live fire shootings. However, the army prevented medics from reaching the scene in Qabalan. Soldiers also fired gas bombs and concussion grenades at locals, causing several injuries among residents.
This violence occurs amid intensified military operations across the occupied territory. Since the year began, Israeli forces and colonizers have killed 98 Palestinians. The Shireen Observatory reports these deaths include 26 children and six women in various districts.
