West Bank sees surge in military raids and settler violence

Israeli forces and paramilitary settlers escalated violations across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem on Saturday. Troops abducted several Palestinians, injured residents with live fire, and seized property. Settlers attacked communities, damaging homes and injuring farmers in multiple governorates throughout the region.

In Jenin Governorate, troops invaded Deir Abu Da’if and Faqqu’a, abducting Mahmoud Khaled Yassin and four former political prisoners. Soldiers shot a resident in the foot during clashes over land encroachment. Further raids occurred in Zububa and Al-Almaniya, where Fadi Al-Hindi was taken. Yazan Mahmoud Jaradat was also abducted after home searches in Jabal Abu Dhahir.

Troops invaded Tammun in Tubas Governorate, abducting brothers Osama and Husni Ali Bani Odah. In Ramallah, soldiers fired tear gas in Al-Mughayyir while bulldozers leveled land. Settlers attacked Burqa and Beitillu, damaging vehicles and wounding Mohammad Abu Radwan. Residents confronted the attackers in Beitillu, forcing them to withdraw from the area.

In occupied Jerusalem, authorities forced Adham Tabash to demolish five commercial facilities in Wadi Al-Jouz. He faced severe financial penalties if municipal crews performed the work. The demolished businesses included a bakery and workshop, affecting livelihoods of dozens. This action impacted at least two hundred Palestinians, including many children and women.

Settlers injured Mohammad Darwish and Nashat Shtayyeh in Salfit while they tended crops. Armed groups fired live ammunition near Deir Jarir village entrance, blocking movement. Farmers in Tubas reported crop losses due to attacks. These incidents reflect thousands of violations recorded recently, highlighting ongoing targeting of Palestinian lands and economic activities across the occupied territories.
