Tawjihi exams resume in Gaza after three years
Around 20,000 students sat the second session of the 2026 secondary certificate.

The second session of the 2026 General Secondary Education Certificate examinations, known as Tawjihi, began across the Palestinian territories on Saturday morning, with around 20,000 students sitting the papers.
For students in the Gaza Strip it is the first sitting in three years.
The Tawjihi result determines university admission, so an interrupted sitting suspends an entire cohort's progression rather than delaying a single year.
