UN Adds 61 Firms to Settlement Database

The UN Human Rights Office added sixty-one companies to its database on Friday. These businesses are linked to illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory. The total number of listed entities has now reached two hundred and fourteen.

This database was first published in 2020 and received updates in 2023 and 2025. It identifies businesses involved in specific activities connected to Israeli settlements. The latest list features companies from eleven different countries, though most are Israeli.

New additions include Israeli pesticide maker ADAMA and real-estate firm Alony Hetz. Spanish logistics company Salvat Logistica also appears on the list. They join major international firms already listed, such as Airbnb and Expedia, in this controversial registry.

The recent assessment examined one hundred and twenty-six companies across various sectors. These included agriculture, transportation, energy, and hospitality industries. The UN stated that inclusion requires reasonable grounds for believing involvement in settlement-related activities.

Such activities involve supplying equipment for construction or providing surveillance tools. Companies may also be listed for supplying utilities that support settlements. Five previously included companies were removed after the UN found they no longer participated in these activities.

The list serves as a key reference for investors and governments considering boycotts. This update occurs amid escalating settler attacks and continued expansion in the West Bank. International law deems these settlements illegal and a flagrant violation of global standards.
