West Bank Sees Surge in Raids and Colonizer Violence
Israeli forces and colonizers intensified attacks across occupied territories, abducting residents and injuring Palestinians during widespread military invasions.

Israeli forces and illegal colonizers escalated violent actions across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem over the weekend. Soldiers invaded multiple communities, breaking into homes and abducting residents while paramilitary groups attacked civilians and property. These coordinated assaults resulted in injuries, detentions, and significant disruption to daily life for Palestinians living under occupation.
In Hebron, soldiers abducted eight Palestinians from Ad-Duqaiqah after colonizers attacked residents and attempted to steal livestock. The colonizers also cut water lines serving seven hundred people and assaulted a family in Khallet al-Hummus. Foreign solidarity activists were among those targeted during these aggressive incursions into southern West Bank villages.
Tulkarem saw soldiers invade several towns including Deir al-Ghusun and Illar. They abducted former political prisoner Ibrahim Alaa Omar and another resident, Karim Amjad Abu Hafitha. Military roadblocks were established at key entrances, obstructing traffic and subjecting vehicles to searches. Forces also closed iron gates beneath the Jabara Bridge for hours.
Ramallah governorate experienced repeated invasions in villages like Deir Abu Mashal and Abu Falah. Soldiers fired tear gas, broke into homes, and assaulted residents. Colonizers used pepper spray near Al-Mughayyir, causing suffocation injuries, and damaged an ambulance. In Burqa, paramilitaries stoned a home and set fire to its balcony before residents extinguished the blaze.
Violence continued in Nablus where colonizers stabbed one Palestinian and wounded another in Wadi ash-Sha’er. They also damaged vehicles and hurled stones at cars near Jericho. In Bethlehem, colonizers chased shepherds and released livestock onto Palestinian land. Soldiers abducted women and children near Battir railway before releasing them hours later.
Jerusalem faced severe movement restrictions as forces deployed heavily around Al-Aqsa Mosque. Soldiers invaded Hizma and Sur Baher, firing toxic gas canisters that ignited shop fires. In Salfit, troops closed village entrances and searched homes in Deir Ballut. Two brothers were abducted and released hours later amid these widespread security operations.
The Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission reported over two thousand attacks in August alone. Most incidents involved Israeli forces or colonizers targeting Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron. Recent violence also included fatal shootings near Jenin and Ramallah, highlighting the intensifying conflict and deteriorating security conditions across the occupied Palestinian territories.
