Army Takes Al-Mughayr House as Base Again

Troops occupy Ahmed Nael Haj Mohammad home north of Ramallah for second time recently.

Army Takes Al-Mughayr House as Base Again

Soldiers moved into a house in Al-Mughayr village, north of Ramallah, on Sunday morning. They turned the building into a short-term military post after forcing the residents to exit the property immediately.

Reports indicate troops told Ahmed Nael Haj Mohammad’s relatives they would hold the site for two days. This order came right after all family members were removed from inside the residence without delay.

Armed men spread through the rooms to set up a forward position for operations. They secured the structure to use it as a base during this specific period of temporary occupation by forces.

This event is the second recent seizure of this particular home by the army. Earlier, soldiers used the same place as barracks for forty-eight hours before pulling back temporarily from the area.

Targeting this house again shows a pattern of using private homes for tactical needs near Ramallah. Such actions continue to disrupt civilian life and raise tensions among locals in the surrounding villages.

People in Al-Mughayr worry about how often these raids occur in their neighborhood. Forced removal of households remains a common result of such military activities in this part of the region.

No one was hurt when the troops first entered the building that early morning. The family stayed close by while soldiers took control of their home and established their presence inside.

The incident highlights ongoing friction between military tactics and civilian rights in the West Bank. Residents face repeated displacement as their properties are repurposed for strategic aims without warning.
