Israeli Forces Escalate Gaza Attacks and Detain Ten Fishermen

Israeli occupation forces escalated attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. These actions continued violations of the ceasefire agreement as military units targeted displaced Palestinians and coastal waters.

In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians east of Khan Younis. Heavy gunfire was also reported in this area while artillery shelled areas west of Rafah causing significant distress.

Central Gaza witnessed Israeli military vehicles operating southeast of Deir al-Balah. They fired smoke and explosive shells near al-Batoun Street which caused panic among civilians particularly women and children in the vicinity.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. In northern Gaza heavy machine-gun fire targeted areas east of Gaza City and Jabalia while naval forces fired off the coast.

The Palestinian Fishermen’s Committees said Israeli naval forces detained ten Palestinian fishermen off the coast of Gaza City on Tuesday. Naval units opened fire on their boats before transferring them to Ashdod port.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health stated that ceasefire violations have killed 1,325 Palestinians since October 2025. The total death toll since October 7, 2023 has reached 73,461 with over 174,496 others injured.
