Israeli strike near a Jabalia school shelter kills three
The school in the north of the Gaza Strip is being used as a shelter by displaced families. Others were wounded in the bombing on Tuesday evening, and no count of the injured was given.
Three Palestinians were killed and a number of others wounded on Tuesday evening in an Israeli bombing beside a UNRWA school in Jabalia refugee camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip, official Palestinian sources reported.
The school is one of the agency's buildings taken over as a shelter by families driven out of their homes during the war. The bombing struck the ground immediately around it.
No count of the wounded was given, and it was not said whether those killed were among the people sheltering at the school or were passing through the area when the strike came.
A school in use as a shelter is not an incidental address. The people gathered in and around it are there because there is nothing left to go back to, and they cannot disperse when the area they are in comes under fire.
