Ben-Gvir Pushes Gaza Displacement and Al-Aqsa Control

Far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has vowed to continue pushing for the mass displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. He is simultaneously seeking to strengthen Israeli sovereignty over the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem through aggressive political maneuvers.

In a recent post on the social media platform X, Ben-Gvir stated he would advance his Disengagement 710 plan. This initiative seeks the departure of Palestinians from Gaza under what he describes as voluntary emigration, aiming to reshape the demographic landscape significantly.

The plan unveiled days earlier targets the departure of around 250,000 Palestinians in its first year. It aims for 1.11 million within three years and approximately 1.86 million within seven years, marking a drastic shift in regional population dynamics.

Ben-Gvir has proposed establishing a dedicated Emigration Ministry to oversee this initiative. The body would secure destination countries, arrange migration routes, and provide assistance packages, serving as a main demand for his party in future government negotiations.

He also pledged to worsen conditions for Palestinian prisoners and advance legislation allowing the death penalty. These remarks come amid escalating Israeli actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque, where authorities carried out twenty-six incursions during August alone.

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments said these incursions occurred under heavy police protection and included religious rituals. Israeli authorities continue imposing restrictions on worshippers, drawing warnings over attempts to impose a new reality at the holy site.
