Gaza Recovers 55 Bodies of One Family From Zeytoun Rubble

The remains of fifty-five Palestinians from a single family were recovered from building rubble in the Zeytoun area of Gaza City. Al Jazeera reported that civil defence authorities completed the difficult recovery operation after searching for more than seventy-two hours.

All victims belonged to the Malka family and had sought refuge in the specific building roughly two years ago. They were hiding there during an intense Israeli bombing campaign that targeted various areas across the densely populated coastal enclave at that time.

Civil defence authorities stated they had been searching for more than sixty bodies of victims from the Malka family over the previous seventy-two hours. The extensive search effort involved specialized teams working tirelessly to clear heavy debris and locate the deceased individuals.

A joint funeral procession is due to take place early next week for the large number of deceased relatives. This solemn event will honor the memory of the entire family who perished together under the collapsed structure in the city.
