Israeli Strikes Kill Five in Gaza as Lebanon Death Toll Surges

Israeli attacks have killed five Palestinians in Gaza over the past forty-eight hours while rescue workers recovered eleven bodies from rubble according to the enclave’s Health Ministry. Another Palestinian died from earlier wounds bringing the total number of bodies received by hospitals to seventeen during this specific recent period of intensified violence.

Medical facilities also treated twenty-seven injured people in Gaza where many victims remain trapped beneath destroyed buildings or lying in streets. Ambulance and civil defence crews cannot reach these individuals due to ongoing hostilities and access restrictions that hinder immediate rescue efforts significantly.

Since last October’s ceasefire Israeli attacks have killed one thousand three hundred forty-four Palestinians and injured four thousand four hundred sixty-four others in Gaza. Rescue workers have also recovered eight hundred fifteen bodies from buildings destroyed by Israel during what sources describe as genocide in the region.

In Lebanon Israeli attacks have killed at least four thousand three hundred fifty-eight people and wounded twelve thousand three hundred fifty-nine others since Israel invaded the south on March second. The Lebanese health ministry provided these figures reflecting the escalating toll from recent cross-border military operations.

The total toll in Lebanon since October eighth two thousand twenty-three had reached eight thousand nine hundred twenty-five dead and thirty thousand five hundred ninety-five wounded. On Saturday Lebanon raised the toll in Israeli strikes on the country's south and east overnight to four killed including an eighteen-year-old girl.

Thirty-two others were wounded in Friday strikes particularly in the Nabatieh region including several women and children. These latest casualties add to the growing humanitarian crisis affecting civilians in both Gaza and Lebanon as regional tensions continue to drive high mortality rates.
